Barbara Parker was born in 1947 in Columbia, South Carolina. She graduated in Law from the University of Miami and the same year began a successful career. In the mid-80's Parker left her current profession and fully attributed to her hobby of writing crime and court stories. Parker has 12 novels, which made her the Queen of Suspense. In March 2009 after a long illness she died at the age of 62.
